While both the boys and girls teams lost to much improved and larger Conrad teams, we had some great swims there.  One advantage of swimming a tough team is that you get pushed to swim faster and that is what we saw at this meet.  We had 15 personal best times and many near best times!  We also had two state consideration times.   The boys lost 82 to 62 and the girls lost 105 to 60.

Kaysa Lammers swam a personal best in the 50 Freestyle that was also a state consideration time.  Emily Hunter swam a personal best in the 100 Freestyle that was also a state consideration time.

Abby Plummer swam personal bests in both the 200 Freestyle by dropping five seconds and the 500 Freestyle by dropping five seconds.  Abby also swam a near personal best in the 200 Freestyle Relay right after the 500.  Also in that relay, Caroline Plummer and Emily Hunter swam near personal best splits and Gabriela Poletaev took more than one second off her personal best time.  Caroline Plummer swam a personal best in the 100 Butterfly. Caroline also swam the 100 Breaststroke for us in a very good time.  Haley Hughes swam a personal best time in the 100 Freestyle by dropping three seconds.  Abbey Close swam a personal best time in the 100 Butterfly by dropping two seconds.  Julia Close swam a personal best time in the 200 IM.

Abby Pepitone swam the 50 Freestyle for us for the first time and dropped four seconds off her time trials time.  Swimming near personal bests were Gabriela Poleteav in the 100 Breaststroke, Sydney Hughes in the 500 Freestyle, and Emily Hunter in the 200 Freestyle.

Emily Hunter earned a first place finish.  Second place finishes were earned by Emily Hunter (3), Caroline Plummer (3), Kaysa Lammers (3),Gabriela Poleteav (3), Abby Plummer (2), Haley Hughes, and Sydney Hughes.  Third place finishes were earned by Caroline Plummer, Abby Plummer, Kaysa Lammers, and Abbey Close.

Sam Calhoun swam a personal best time in the 100 Butterfly by dropping an amazing 22 seconds. Timmy O’Sullivan swam personal best times in both the 100 Freestyle by dropping six seconds and the 100 Backstroke by dropping five seconds. Daniel Schea swam personal best times in both the 100 Freestyle by dropping two seconds and the 100 Breaststroke by dropping two seconds.  Chip Moore swam a personal best time in the 200 Freestyle by dropping three seconds.  Near personal best times were achieved by Chip Moore in the 50 Freestyle, Nathan Hunter in the 200 IM, Sam Calhoun in the 50 Freestyle, Zachary Watson in the 100 Freestyle, and Ethan Edge in the 500 Freestyle.  Ethan won a very exciting 500 freestyle race by leading the Conrad swimmer the whole way and refusing to let him catch up at the end.

Nathan Hunter earned two first place finishes, Sam Calhoun and Ethan Edge each earned a first place finish. Second place finishes were earned by Daniel Schea (3), Sam Calhoun (3), Ethan Edge (3), Nathan Hunter (2), Zachary Watson (2), Timmy O’Sullivan, and Chip Moore.  Third place finishes were earned by Timmy O’Sullivan (2).
