Congratulations to Ellie Moux for winning the Youth Black Belt Region 8 Grand Champion Honor!

Posted on October 25, 2019 by Author in MSA Student Highlight No Comments

During Tang Soo Do Region 8 Fall Classic at Kalahari Resort, Victoria E. Moux-Rodríguez, a student from Mount Sophia won first place in open hand forms, weapons, and sparring bringing home three gold medals. This was her first competition as a Black Belt since she recently earned it during the Summer. The odds of winning the cup for such competition for a recent black belt have been considered slim since they are competing against 2nd and 3rd degree Black Belts for such honor. When this factual information was shared with Victoria she immediately stated, “The God of the Breakthrough has visited my house, I have the Favor of God!” An instructor in the Martial Arts spent 30 minutes trying to convince her of its impossibility. However, she competed previously at the Region 8 Spring Championships and the year before in Kalahari. However, she preferred to trust God and brought home the cup for the third time after winning the Region 8 Spring Championships and the year before in Kalahari. To God be the Glory for her accomplishments!
