We swam a lot of great times against William Penn on Thursday (and I think some of their swimmers dropped a lot of time too)! Our girls won 91 to 70 with the last 3.5 events exhibitioned. Our boys lost 93 to 75 with the last event (400 Free Relay) exhibitioned by William Penn. We were able to put a number of our swimmers in some different events again at this meet.
We had more State Qualification times. Adam Overman swam a State Qualification time in the 200 Freestyle. Adam also lowered his 100 Freestyle State Qualification time. Marissa Baker swam a State Qualification time in the 500 Freestyle. Abby Rose lowered her 50 Freestyle State Qualification time.
We had a lot more personal best times at this meet. Henry Rhein swam a personal best time in the 100 Butterfly, dropping 14.5 seconds and moving onto the all-time top 16 list at #13 for that event. Jacob Rainbow swam a personal best time in the 100 Backstroke, dropping 10 seconds and moving onto the all-time top 16 list at #12. Gabby Hoffer swam a personal best time in the 200 IM, dropping 3.75 seconds and moving onto the all-time top 16 list at #16. Gabby also swam a personal best time in the 100 Breaststroke, dropping 3.5 seconds and moving up from #16 to #12 on the all-time top 16 list. Adam Overman swam a personal best time in the 200 Freestyle, dropping 4 seconds. Adam is currently ranked #4 on the all-time top 16 list for this event. Adam also swam a personal best time in the 100 Freestyle, dropping 0.5 seconds. Adam is currently ranked #5 on the all-time top 16 list for this event. Logan Edge swam a personal best time in the 200 IM, dropping 2 seconds. Logan is currently ranked #10 on the all-time top 16 list for this event. Logan also swam a personal best time in the 100 Backstroke, dropping 1.25 seconds. Logan is currently ranked #6 on the all-time top 16 list for this event. Marissa Baker swam a personal best time in the 500 Freestyle, dropping 4 seconds. Marissa is currently ranked #3 on the all-time top 16 list in this event. Grace Duquette swam a personal best time in the 100 Freestyle, dropping 0.75 seconds. Grace is currently ranked at #14 on the all-time top 16 list for this event. Abby Rose swam a personal best time in the 50 Freestyle, moving from #5 to #4 on the all-time top 16 list. Kate Rainbow swam a personal best time in the 200 Freestyle, dropping 10 seconds. Jennifer Rainbow swam a personal best time in the 500 Freestyle, dropping another 10 seconds. Wyatt Adams swam another personal best time in the 200 IM, dropping 7 seconds. Darby Moore swam a personal best time in the 100 Freestyle, dropping 5.5 seconds. Darby also swam a personal best time in the 50 Freestyle. Ava Hoffer swam a personal best time in the 100 Butterfly, dropping 4.25 seconds. Joy Teodoro swam a personal best time in the 100 Freestyle, dropping 3 seconds down to a 120.90. Joy also swam a personal best time in the 50 Freestyle (as relay leadoff), dropping 1.25 seconds. Riley Moore swam another personal best time in the 100 Freestyle, dropping 2 seconds. Caroline Roff swam a personal best time in the 100 Freestyle, dropping 1.25 seconds down to a 1:07.80. Rebekah Marks swam a personal best time in the 100 Butterfly, dropping 1 second. Rebekah also swam a personal best time in the 100 Freestyle (as relay leadoff), dropping 0.5 seconds down to a 1:06.92. James Teodoro swam a personal best time in the 100 Freestyle, dropping 0.75 seconds. Anna Copple swam a personal best time in the 50 Freestyle, dropping 0.75 seconds. Lila Adams swam a personal best time in the 100 Breaststroke, dropping 0.5 seconds. Danny Johnson swam a personal best time in the 100 Backstroke.
We had another amazingly fast first time event swim at this meet. Jacob Rainbow had never swam the 100 Butterfly before and managed to shock everyone with a 1:10.96 on his first attempt! He jumped onto the all-time top 16 list at #9 with that swim!
We also had some more new personal best relay split times. Darby Moore swam a personal best 100 Freestyle split time, dropping 2.25 seconds. Darby also swam a personal best 50 Breaststroke split time, dropping 1.75 seconds. Matthew Slawik swam a personal best 100 Freestyle split time, dropping 2 seconds. Janna Brickner swam a personal best 50 Freestyle split time, dropping 2 seconds. Charlotte Mason swam a personal best 50 Backstroke split time, dropping 1.75 seconds. Wyatt Adams swam a personal best 50 Breaststroke split time, dropping 1.5 seconds. Jacob Rainbow swam a personal best 50 Backstroke split time, dropping 1.5 seconds down to a 33.23. Riley Moore swam a personal best 100 Freestyle split time, dropping 1 second. Adam Overman swam a personal best 50 Butterfly split time, dropping 1 second. Matthew Ritter swam a personal best 100 Freestyle split time, dropping 0.75 seconds. Jennifer Rainbow swam a personal best 50 Freestyle split time, dropping 0.5 seconds. Reilly Magargee swam another all-time team-fastest 50 Breaststroke split time of 31.09. Lila Adams swam a personal best 50 Backstroke split time. Ava Hoffer swam a personal best 50 Freestyle split time. Maggie Magargee swam a personal best 50 Freestyle split time. Caroline Roff swam a personal best 50 Freestyle split time. Logan Edge swam a personal best 50 Backstroke split time. Seth Freer swam a personal best 50 Freestyle split time. James Teodoro swam a personal best 100 Freestyle split time.
Swimming near personal best times were James Teodoro in the 50 Freestyle, Seth Freer in the 100 Butterfly, Reilly Magargee in the 500 Freestyle, Caroline Roff in the 200 Freestyle, Marissa Baker in the 50 Freestyle, Maggie Magargee in the 100 Breaststroke, Riley Moore in the 50 Freestyle, and Charlotte Mason in the 50 Freestyle.
Additional swimmers who swam an individual event for the first time for us were Matthew Ritter in the 200 Freestyle, Ava Hoffer in the 200 Freestyle, and Caleb Quinones in the 100 Breaststroke.
For the girls, first place finishes were earned by Abby Rose (4), Emi Cranker (4), Grace Duquette (3), Marissa Baker (2), Caroline Roff (2), Gabby Hoffer (2), Rebekah Marks (2), and Kate Rainbow. Second place finishes were earned by Lila Adams (2), Maggie Magargee (2), Jennifer Rainbow (2), Kate Rainbow (2), Gabby Hoffer (2), Marissa Baker (2), Caroline Roff (2), Joy Teodoro, Ava Hoffer, Grace Duquette, and Rebekah Marks. Third place finishes were earned by Ava Hoffer (2), Rebekah Marks, and Maggie Magargee.
For the boys, first place finishes were earned by Logan Edge, Reilly Magargee, and Adam Overman. Second place finishes were earned by Adam Overman (3), Reilly Magargee (3), Logan Edge (3), Henry Rhein (2), Cai Hepner (2), Jacob Rainbow, Seth Freer, and Gabriel Quinones. Third place finishes were earned by James Teodoro (2), Henry Rhein (2), Jacob Rainbow (2), Gabriel Quinones, Seth Freer, and Danny Johnson.
