Grizzlies,

The boys had another great day at the pool at the Boys State Finals competition! The committee allowed a third coach on deck, so Amanda Edge was able to join us.

The boys 200 Medley Relay team of Joey Duquette, Alex Holleran, Logan Edge, and Henry Rhein swam a 1:48.91 (beating their seed time again) and moving up to finish in 15th Place!

Joey Duquette swam another personal best time in the 200 IM, dropping another 2 seconds down to a 1:56.55 to take 5th place! Joey is currently ranked 2nd on the All-Time Top 16 List for the 200 IM.

Logan Edge swam a 2:07.85 in the 200 IM to take 13th place. Logan is currently ranked 4th on the All-Time Top 16 List for the 200 IM.

Logan Edge swam a 53.45 in the 100 Butterfly to take 7th place. Logan is currently ranked 2nd on the All-Time Top 16 List for the 100 Butterfly!

Joey Duquette swam another personal best time in the 100 Backstroke, dropping 0.27 seconds to a 51.25 to take 1st place and become the State Champion in this event!! Joey is ranked 2nd on the All-Time Top 16 List for this event and is now only 0.43 seconds off the team record and 3.01 seconds off the State Record for this event!

The boys 400 Freestyle Relay team of Henry Rhein, Karl Rhein, Logan Edge, and Joey Duquette swam a 3:33.02 to break the record again this week, this time by 1.72 seconds! They finished in 13th place!

In regards to best split times, Joey Duquette tied his best 50 Backstroke split time of 25.14 and Karl Rhein dropped 3 seconds off his best 100 Freestyle split time, swimming a 53.80!

The boys scored a total of 62 points at Finals to come in 14th place out of 40 teams!

Thanks to our many supporters who came to the meet and cheered from the stands and/or came to McDonalds afterwards to celebrate with the team: Summer Edge, Olivia Edge, Dorie Duquette, Gerry Duquette, David Holleran, Stacy Holleran, Jacob Rainbow, Kate Rainbow, Julie Rainbow, David Rainbow, Jennifer Rainbow, Victor Rhein, Caroline Roff, Anna Marks, Riley Moore, Cai Hepner, Tim Moore, Michelle Moore, and Amy Roff (and probably others we did not see). There were also a number of people who wanted to go but tickets were limited.

Thanks to everyone on the team and their families for making it another great year! Hope to see everyone who can make it to the Swim Banquet on Saturday, May 6th! More information will be coming about the banquet in the future.
