Congrats to our 5 girls at the State Tournament Wednesday night: Kate Rainbow, Caroline Roff, Maggie Magargee, Joy Teodoro, and Ava Hoffer!
The girls swam really well in each event!
The girls 200 Medley Relay team of Kate Rainbow, Maggie Magargee, Joy Teodoro, and Caroline Roff swam a 2:12.83 to take 23rd place (meaning they beat out 18 other DE High Schools’ times). Kate Rainbow swam a personal-best 50 Backstroke split time, dropping 0.25 seconds. The other girls swam near personal bests.
Kate Rainbow swam a personal best time of 27.87 in the individual 50 Freestyle event to place 54th. Kate moves from #8 to #6 on the MSA All-Time top 16 list for this event.
Caroline Roff swam a personal best time of 28.36 in the individual 50 Freestyle event and moved up from her 66th place seed position to finish in 62nd place. Caroline is ranked at #15 on the MSA All-Time Top 16 list for this event.
Kate Rainbow swam a personal best time in the 100 Breaststroke, dropping 0.83 seconds to a 1:18.60. She moved up from a 33rd seed position to place 31st. With this swim, Kate moves from #7 to #6 on the MSA All-Time Top 16 list for this event! Kate swam a personal best times in all 3 of her events tonight!
Congratulations go out to Kate Rainbow for being presented with an Academic Student-Athlete Award at the Tournament!!
