Higo Rodrigues teaches Music Theory and is the accompanist for MSA’s Senior Chorale. He holds a Ph.D. in Music Theory from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Rodrigues is the Music Director at Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Newark, DE, where he serves alongside his wife, Ira Rodrigues. Higo has taught music theory and aural theory classes at the University of Kentucky as a Teaching Assistant, as well as music theory and music history/appreciation classes at St. Catharine College (Springfield, KY), and early college credit music classes at Bethlehem High School (Bardstown, KY). Higo loves reading and has started (but hasn’t finished yet…) a degree in Christian Apologetics at Biola University. Still, he enjoys learning more about the Bible and is taking independent online classes from the Awakening School of Theology. He also enjoys playing basketball but has to take care of his hands since he plays the piano for a living. Higo teaches Essentials of Music Theory at Mount Sophia.
