Kinsey Towle loves to find truth, goodness, and beauty in all the things that surround her. She frequently calls her four homeschooled children to stop and pay attention to a “beauty alert” when she notices a gorgeous sunset or blooming tree. She enjoys teaching science because it gives her weekly opportunities to be amazed by the complexity, order, and wonder of God’s creation. Kinsey has been teaching within the homeschool co-op community since 2014 in the areas of elementary science, Algebra 2, and high school biology. As a student, Kinsey was homeschooled, attended private Christian schools, and then transferred to a public high school. Growing up in Alaska and then moving across the country, Kinsey understands the difficulty of transitioning to new schools, especially in middle and high school. She moved to this area to attend college at Eastern University, where she graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education and Special Education. She was a member of the inaugural class of the Templeton Honors College at Eastern. After graduation, Kinsey taught at a school for children with severe and multiple disabilities before continuing her education at Temple University. She received her M.A. in Speech, Language, and Hearing, and she maintains her certification as a Speech Language Pathologist. Kinsey and her husband are celebrating 20 years of marriage, and they serve together as Deacons in their church and chauffeurs for their children. When Kinsey is not involved in church activities or cheering for her kids on the side of a soccer field or pool, she enjoys reading, puzzles, board games, and planning her next cross-country road trip.
