Liesl, has over 20 years of experience working with children ages 3–15. She holds a master’s degree in special education and, after five years of teaching in public school, became a stay-at-home mom. Once her children were school-aged, Liesl began homeschooling them.
Liesl has taught and been in leadership at Classical Civitas, a classical Christian co-op, in Pennsylvania for the past 11 years. Liesl enjoys the classroom and getting to know the students and parents.
Liesl’s approach focuses on creating a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel confident and motivated to learn. Liesl loves using interactive, fun techniques to engage students and help them reach their full potential. Seeing her students make progress and develop a love for learning is one of the most rewarding parts of her job.
Outside of teaching, Liesl enjoys traveling and has set a goal to visit all 50 states with her children before they graduate. They’ve already visited 47 as a family!
