Mrs. Sammi Madanat grew up in Kent County, DE. She pursued Art in junior high and high school, finally earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Delaware. She also became fluent in computers while working for the University’s Graphic Arts Mac Lab. After graduation, Sammi briefly lived in Northern California before returning home to accept a job in Desktop Publishing. Since then, she has worked in several different positions, each using her unique Art and Design background, including as a Florist and Framer. Most recently, she retired after nine years as an Elementary Art and Computer teacher and three years as an Art teacher for Junior and High School at Red Lion Christian Academy.
Mrs. Madanat has a real appreciation for art created by young people and enjoys teaching them about the act and purpose of creation as demonstrated by our omni-creative Lord. Her love of Art History, as it reflects the story of our relationship to our Holy Father, is also a joy she is happy to share, as is the use of Math and Science to demonstrate the “language” of creation.
Sammi is currently focused on painting in ink and watercolor, and also enjoys “sculpting” in various mediums, such as clay, paint, wood and fabric.
